DESCENT\\CYBER is built for cybersecurity leaders and practitioners who share a passion for scuba diving. It brings experienced professionals together for practical insights, peer-level discussion and a world-class diving experience.
Industry partners also participate, with opportunities to contribute meaningfully through knowledge, expertise and relationships rather than dominate the experience.

Complete the application form on the DESCENT\CYBER website. Our organizing team reviews each application to help maintain a focused group of cybersecurity leaders, practitioners and contributing industry partners.
Accepted applicants will receive an invitation by email with access to the private registration page. Payment is due in full when registration is completed.

Attendees are responsible for flights to and from Grand Cayman, accommodation, travel insurance, dive insurance, scuba certification or refresher training, rental dive equipment, additional diving outside the conference program, personal expenses, and meals, snacks or beverages outside the included conference program.
Optional additional gratuities for the dive crew are also not included.

Sunset House is the host hotel for DESCENT\\CYBER. Accepted attendees will receive information for contacting Sunset House directly if they would like to stay there. DESCENT\\CYBER does not book accommodation or process hotel payments on behalf of attendees.
Attendees are also welcome to stay at another hotel and participate fully in the conference.

Yes. Attendees are welcome to arrive early or remain in Grand Cayman after the conference.
Additional accommodation is arranged directly with your chosen hotel and is subject to its availability, rates and policies. Additional diving can be arranged separately through Sunset Divers.

The DESCENT\\CYBER conference registration fee is non-refundable.
Travel and accommodation arrangements are made independently by attendees and are subject to the cancellation, refund and payment policies of the providers they choose.
Unused portions of the DESCENT\\CYBER conference program are non-refundable and non-transferable. We strongly recommend purchasing appropriate travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes.

Yes, but you will need to complete your training before participating in the conference dives.
You can complete the theory and confined-water portions through your local dive shop, then complete your Open Water checkout dives either locally or with Sunset Divers before the conference begins.
Attendees completing their checkout dives in Grand Cayman will need to arrive early. Availability, pricing and the required arrival date should be arranged directly with Sunset Divers.

Sunset Divers requires a refresher course if it has been more than two years since your last dive.
You can complete the refresher in advance through your local dive shop or arrange to complete it with Sunset Divers on arrival day, subject to availability and scheduling.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own dive equipment when possible. Rental equipment can also be arranged directly through Sunset Divers.
Tanks and weights are provided for the included dives. Attendees should bring their certification card, dive computer and any personal equipment they prefer to use.

Yes. Non-attending companions are welcome to travel with attendees, but they are not included in conference boat dives, sessions, meals or organized events.
Companions should arrange their own diving, meals and entertainment independently. Anyone wishing to participate in the full DESCENT\\CYBER experience must apply, be accepted and register as an attendee.
